The Defining Moments campaign started in 2014 to launch Crossroads’ second campus.
In November of 2014, $1.2 M was pledged to be given over 36 months. An additional $170,000 of in-kind gifts were committed. Since the campaign, we have received $58,000 in one time, unpledged gifts.
In January of 2015, a 34,500 sf warehouse was purchased in the heart of Hampstead. Sitting on 6 acres the building was originally the Jos. A Bank sewing factory. Our vision is to transform this 48 year old, abandoned shell into a vibrant place to gather, worship and serve for the residents of Hampstead and surrounding communities. Even in its current state, the building and land has blessed our congregation and the community through several events this year including: community concert, Young Life Club, Hoedown with Square Dancing, fundraisers for NESAP and rogue worship services.
In order to be confident we can complete Phase One and Two of the renovation, an additional $360,000 of pledges is needed.
These two phases would allow us to occupy 25,000 of the new building. Phase One is scheduled to begin in October of 2015 and will provide a new roof, changes in the structural steel so there are clear views in the sanctuary, new electrical service and new exterior windows and doors. Phase Two would provide interior build out and site work. We are hopeful to occupy the building in 2016.
