You are not alone.
We’re so glad you’re checking out care groups! You may be thinking you’re a little out of place, especially if you’re not a part of Crossroads. That’s no big deal!
Open to all, care groups provide help during a specific situation or season of life and meet online and in person or both, depending on what the group needs. They typically meet weekly, lasting anywhere from a few weeks up to a few months.
Care group facilitators and care mentors provide support without judgement, and care group members share encouragement without shaming. Information shared in care groups and/or workshops is not intended nor suited to be a replacement or substitute for professional medical treatment or mental health counseling.
We urge you to always seek the advice of your physician or medical professional with respect to your medical condition. If you are under the care of a physician for a chronic condition please consult with your physician and other care providers before making any lifestyle changes. While not a substitute for professional counseling, groups provide safe places to experience hope and help during challenging seasons of life.
Care Groups Winter/Spring 2022
Dealing with the Diagnosis Mentoring
Launching January 24 | Westminster Campus/Mutually Agreed Upon
Dealing with the Diagnosis provides encouragement and prayerful support to make a way for healing and hope. Mentoring is available to those with a diagnosis concerning physical health and for those caring for them. Diagnoses could include conditions like cancer, Parkinson’s, ALS, or other chronic health issues. As this is a mentoring partnership, day/time and location are flexible and will be mutually agreed upon.
This group offers support, encouragement, and prayer for those who have lost a loved one. There are people who have walked through one of life’s most painful experiences and are willing to walk alongside you. Friends can help you look forward to life after death, to beauty from ashes, to a time of rebuilding. Each week is open to newcomers, for each session is helpful as a stand-alone. Participants can go back and make up sessions they missed when we offer the group again. Participating online is an option for those who cannot attend in person. Explore the GriefShare website here.

Recovery in the Name of Christ supports men and women in substance abuse recovery. Recovery INC is a bridge between 12-step recovery and church. Our meetings focus on a topic or scripture teaching and our discussion centers on how God’s Word helps us in recovery. We are not a replacement for 12-step meetings and strongly encourage participants to join and remain active in their respective 12-step groups. Bibles are provided or you may bring your own.
